"I finally found my very first friend! Thinking back I guess we were an odd pair. She was a girly-girl with long blond hair and fair skin. I was a tom-boyish Black girl with my hair typically braided. But we were inseparable until she moved to New York. It's been decades but I found her on facebook (on her birthday). Social networking saved me the expense of hiring a private investigator to find my long lost friend."
