Wilson's Creek National Battlefield (Republic, Missouri)

"I stopped here on a 4th of July trip to Oklahoma. I had never heard of this battle before but I learned so much! I love history so this was right up my ally! It's a 4 mile loop around the battle field that you drive but you can get out and walk the trails which I recommend. It took us about an hour and a half. We stopped at all the stops and got out and walked the trails around Bloody Hill. Recommended if you like battlefields and/or civil war history. I have a national parks passport book which I'm adding everything in the book to my bucket list. Hadn't quite gotten to Missouri when I went there but it was about to be added so it looks like I added it just to cross it off but I'm just slow to add!"
