Got married at 19 in 1993. I would suggest waiting until you are at least 25! Your parents, friends, and family are right, you ARE too young!! You have no idea how much you will change in your 20's, and if you aren't changing you really aren't living your life.
I wouldn't do anything different, I have no regrets as I love who and what I am, and I appreciate everything I have done and experienced has led to that.
