"This trip was amazing. I went camping with my aunt for 3 days in a local park on the primal grounds. It was so cool to be able to make our own food, play games, and be totally self-sufficient and somewhat vulnerable to our environment. It was amazing to see how few things were done but how full and rewarding your day was. Stark contrast to how Americans usually value things. One night it rained, and another night it was FREEZING - seems like it could ruin our time but it was actually nice to have to figure out how to be stuck in a small tent and figure out how to not go crazy - we made it fun! It was also neat to have to use problem solving and other skills that I never have to normally use. It felt like a whole new part of my mind was being activated! I will definately do this every year and try to increase the difficulty with each trip!!"
